I'll include calorie counters, fitness applications and anything else that is concerned with your general health and well being here.
This is another great diet and exercise tracker. The beauty of this app is that it will let you input foods by bar code. It has a lot of very cool features. It's not quite as much of a social app like LoseIt! is, but it is also very powerful and has a huge number of downloads. If you're working on a buddy system, then LoseIt! is probably more what you're looking for. Otherwise, I believe this is probably a better choice. Images provided by: Created: 15 Sep 2011 03:34 |
Everyone who sees this is instantly skeptical. It uses your device's camera to measure your heart rate. From what I have been able to tell, it's actually accurate and once you see it work, you'll understand why. Since the lights on phones are right beside the cameras, turning it on in order to essentially flash a light through your finger, allows the camera to detect differences in skin colour, thereby allowing it to count BPM. This is one of very few apps I've actually purchased, to-date. It's body-building software to track your progress. I take my phone with my to the gym as it is, because it acts as my bluetooth MP3 player, while I'm working out. So, it's very handy to track my workout process, at the same time. It also synchronizes with your PC, to an online account. Images provided by: Created: 15 Aug 2011 04:52 |
I've tried several calorie counters and similar apps. I haven't been impressed with most of them. I want to be able to easily track my exercise as well as my food intake and measure it against goals, without a lot of effort. Besides, I already have JeFit Pro tracking my exercise routine. So, I don't want to duplicate effort. This app is not the most popular one on the Market, but it accomplishes everything I want and is quite simple to use. I like the easy method of entering exercise routines as a whole entry, rather than breaking down the elements into individual components. It speeds up the process tremendously. Use this app to follow your path, wherever you go, whether it's running, driving, hiking or walking. The GPS will keep track of your route so that you can gather the time, speed, distance, and even elevation! It will also connect to external devices, such as heart rate monitors and more. This is a very cool app! Images provided by: Created: 16 Aug 2011 20:47 |
This is a very neat app for runners. It will use your GPS to track your path, distance and time of your runs. So, that means you'll need to take your device with you when you go. That's obviously not convenient for tablets, but it will work well for phones. It used to be a commercial app, but it's free now. Images provided by: Created: 16 Aug 2011 18:49 |
It's always handy to have a stopwatch around. Images provided by: Created: 15 Aug 2011 22:21 |
