 Tethering for Android devices is no longer an obscure feature. In fact, most devices now have it built in. This allows you to use your Android as a wireless hotspot for other devices, like a computer. However, if you have one of the many tablets that is only WiFi enabled and want to gain access to a non-wireless network, you would need to reverse tether, instead.
