Boggle is another classic word game. In the real world version you roll a set of dice with letter on them into a 4x4 grid and then attempt to find as many words as possible within 3 minutes. The electronic versions feature the same game play, but obviously, you don't have to roll dice to get your letters.

This is another Wordtris type game. I love these types of apps.

Hasbro released this free version of their most popular word game, which will let you play solo or against others. It features "play and pass" on your phone, as well as the ability to compete against other mobile users or across platforms with the Facebook version.

Use this to find the best plays in Scrabble and other word games. It lets you enter up to 10 "rack" letters and 4 "board" letters in order to find plausible plays.

Update: Bummer. Here's another one that was removed. If it was a Copyright violation or something, I wish they would just say so. This is the closest a game can get to Scrabble without getting sued, apparently. I have the Scrabble app as well, but this one is a lot of fun, as well.

Wordtris is Tetris with letters. It's a classic.
