I'm a big Scrabble fan, as well as a bunch of other word games, like Boggle or Wordtris. I'll list a bunch of those apps here, as I find them.
Boggle is another classic word game. In the real world version you roll a set of dice with letter on them into a 4x4 grid and then attempt to find as many words as possible within 3 minutes. The electronic versions feature the same game play, but obviously, you don't have to roll dice to get your letters. Images provided by: Created: 17 Aug 2011 03:27 |
This is another Wordtris type game. I love these types of apps. Images provided by: Created: 17 Aug 2011 03:30 |
This is like Boggle, but the tiles are hexagonal, adding a new dimension to the game. Images provided by: Created: 15 Sep 2011 02:33 |
Hasbro released this free version of their most popular word game, which will let you play solo or against others. It features "play and pass" on your phone, as well as the ability to compete against other mobile users or across platforms with the Facebook version. Images provided by: Created: 15 Aug 2011 00:56 |
Use this to find the best plays in Scrabble and other word games. It lets you enter up to 10 "rack" letters and 4 "board" letters in order to find plausible plays. Images provided by: Created: 15 Aug 2011 04:30 |
Somehow, this guy hasn't got sued, yet. It's a fun version of the TV game show, but you can't get it from the Market. You have to get it from his blog: http://genitravel.blogspot.com Update: Bummer. Here's another one that was removed. If it was a Copyright violation or something, I wish they would just say so. If such is the case, I'll remove it from here as well, but there's never any mention as to why these apps keep disappearing. So, until I hear otherwise, here's a local link to it: Wheel Of Fortune. This is the closest a game can get to Scrabble without getting sued, apparently. I have the Scrabble app as well, but this one is a lot of fun, as well. Images provided by: Created: 17 Aug 2011 03:32 |
Wordtris is Tetris with letters. It's a classic. Images provided by: Created: 17 Aug 2011 03:22 |
