This is one of my favourite dramas of all time. Dexter is a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Police Department. He witnessed his mother being murdered right before his eyes when he was just three years old. As a result, he became a serial killer, but with a "code". He only kills other serial killers. It's a fascinating story of an anti-hero.
