Enos was one of the favourite characters on the The Dukes Of Hazzard as the clumsy, inept but good-hearted Deputy to sheriff Coltrane. So, the network decided to give him his own show. It didn't last long though, because in order for it to be believable, Enos had to be a more intelligent and less naive character than he was in the original series. The changes to her personality did not work in the new setting and as such, the show was canceled after only one season.
