The Galactica is a lone ship, the last of a vast empire, struggling to lead a small group of humans left in the galaxy to safety, to a mythological planet called Earth, in order to escape their destruction at the hands of an evil robot army created by a lizard-like race called the Cylons.

In this reimagined mini-series, humans live far across our galaxy in twelve colonies akin to our modern astrological signs. Instead of being a different race, the Cylons are described as robots created with artificial intelligence to serve humans. They however, become self-aware and rebel. After a 40 year peace, the Cylons return and all but wipe out the entire human population. The Galactica and a small fleet of civilian ships manage to escape and set out across the galaxy to find a new home for humanity, always being pursued by the Cylons.

This show flip-flopped several times before they decided on a format. Fortunately, it finally got made, but unfortunately it's only as webisodes. The premise is that it follows the life of young William Adama, 10 years into the first Cylon war. It takes place after Caprica and before the Battlestar Galactica series, when William Adama is a new recruit to the fleet, long before he gains his own command.
