Notes:

I'm not one for medical dramas, ever. This however, is not as much a medical drama as it is a dark comedy, with a Sherlock Holmes flair. Gregory House is a brilliant diagnostician and cynic with a substance abuse problem. I was sad to see this show end, because it's one of the best series on television.

Last Resort

Notes:

A US submarine picks up a group of Navy Seals off the coast of Pakistan. They are then ordered to make a nuclear strike against the nation, but the order comes through a secondary channel. The captain questions the order since the United States has not been attacked and therefore, the primary channel should have been used. In response, the US Battleship Illinois, fires upon the submarine, forcing them to submerge. Realizing that they are now a rogue nuclear submarine with stealth technology and a world-class arsenal on board, the captain takes over a local NATO station and the island on which it resides, declaring it a sovereign state. This is how the series begins.

Notes:

Sean Bean plays an undercover FBI agent who is having trouble distinguishing reality from his aliases. Don't get too comfortable with any characters on this show, because they have a habit of killing one off nearly every episode.

Little House On The Prairie

Set in the early 19th century, this family drama follows the life of the Ingalls family, as they attempt to eek out a living in the American west.

Notes:

I originally started watching this show because I thought the leading star was Harrison Ford. He is certainly a very close look-a-like for the aging actor. Katee Sackhoff of Battlestar Galactica fame and Lou Diamond Phillips from Young Guns also complete the cast.

The show is very formulaic. Every episode involves the sheriff of a small, western town solving murder cases. However, the cast and long reaching story arc keep it interesting and fresher than most.

Lucifer

1 Seasons, 60 Minute Episodes

Notes:

Lucifer Morningstar, as in the Devil, as in the ruler of Hell, decides to take a vacation, on Earth and in doing so, helps a detective solve murders, bring evil people to justice and he falls in love along the way.

Magic City

Notes:

This is another drama that takes place in Las Vegas, in the 1950's. I like it, so far.

Mr. Robot

Notes:

Elliot is recruited by an organization, or so he thinks, to take down aptly named EvilCorp through cyber-terrorism.

This is the first series to ever get technology right. No double-keyboard hacking and flying through the Internet ridiculousness. All the terms, programs, hardware and concepts featured in this show are legitimate. It's about time!
